The Mall had its share of troubled residents - it surprised him, honestly, that such a number of troubled individuals would have been gathered in one place. And as it was his duty to provide mortals and immortals alike refuge from the pains of the world in sleep - there was always, always one obstacle that he faced.
The subconscious; the one that twists the dreams he creates into something truly horrific. He would sometimes let them be, sometimes give them a little nudge, and sometimes, as much as he hates to do so, tell them to wake up.
Tonight, though, as he does his routine dreamwalking - something catches his attention. He just observes, for now - after all, he knows she's weathered through a lot, and perhaps this may just be a passing dream.
....okay, internally going 'shit' right now. There has never been a situation like this in all the dreams he's seen before, simply because of the impossibility of it, but...
Mortals are so fond of that line. He knows that he has never known the fear of losing someone he loves (for now, at least), but he raises a hand and pats her back in smooth strokes. Calm down. "I - I am - "
She almost says 'I want to stay here forever', but no; she'd age, and the others would go on, and she'd be left behind. That wouldn't do. That's not her at all. The contact makes her feel better, sniffling slowly subsiding, the beach fading away into nothing much at all. A small pocket of sand and water in a sea of nothing, Yukari leaning against someone who might as well be Minato.
He looks around a little. Well, that's...an odd transition, but he chalks it up to Yukari having a couple of issues. He raises an eyebrow at her, and his headwings flutter a little.
It's not that hard to work out; just him, and her, in a little pocket of a world. Just the two of them.
"...messed up your shirt." she says, a note of happiness moving into her voice. "I'm sure you have better things to do than help me through a nightmare."
"It is nothing to worry about," since it is a dream and all, "And, well." What to say. He lets his hand stop and just rest at the small of her back. "You - caught my attention."
Cue a light giggle; Minato never blushed like that, so it was quite a sight to see.
"Still..." she says, her voice turning oddly husky as she leans in; close enough to touch, close enough to kiss. "I think you deserve a-"
Thud. Back in the real world, Yukari finally rolls off her bed, waking up with a yelp, the dream dissolving into the back of her memory as she hits the floor. She rubs her head with a hand, sitting up.
Unfortunately, Hypnos remembers every single moment, and he wakes up, sitting bolt upright in bed and blinking rapidly. Why did the dream have to end there, dammit...
He just shakes his head ruefully. Hopefully she'll remember, but there's a greater chance she wouldn't. Dreams are like that.
It doesn't prevent him from sighing, dejected, though. Oh well. At least she's all right.

Please stop crying. "I'm sorry."

Not that he's keeping track of your dreams, nope.

And she smiles up at him, properly now.
"Thank you."

"You are welcome." Smiling a bit more. "It is my job, after all."

"Ow..."
Sorry, Hypnos. She doesn't remember a thing.
