Welcome back to LJ! I also noticed that there are fewer active Arashi communities here - especially subbing communities. I think it is because of the threats impose by JE or people are just getting busier.
Ugh that sucks. Hopefully that's not as big of a problem for subbed movies.
Subbing-wise, I noticed that a lot of older and more established communities have all disappeared. There are newer groups but they don't seem to produce subs quite as consistently.
It really is! Though I don't want to complain because I am just one of the leechers here. Actually 2 of the older communities closed because someone break their rule and uploaded lots of their stuffs to dailymotion or other social media. And some FB communities had their videos taked down for legal concerns (by JE??). That was enough reason for them to close down their communities. :(
I am on DW (dreamwidth) personally because LJ cocks up for me frequently and support has been no help at all. But everyone else is somewhere else, though I don't know where
I feel you. LJ is extremely inadequate when it comes to support. I tried DW once, but something about it doesn't quite appeal to me. Honestly I think everyone else is either here, or inactive (like me lol).
Arashi subbing communities are still mostly here though not as big/active as they used to be. Some are in tumblr but I think they mostly sub clips and upload stuff over at dailymotion? I'm not sure because I don't go there much.
Less-known, more mature movies, yay! If you need people for the technical stuff, (timing, type, encode, etc.), I'd love to help.
I'm on dailymotion all the time actually, because there are a few raw uploaders over there who are super quick with updating. I agree with you about subbing communities not being as active.
I was thinking if we could get a couple of people to form a small team, we can perhaps get a new page going over at LJ or DW or something. Maybe we can also do some recruitment?
