Help? ^___^; For my next painting project, I have to compose my own still-life. It must be made of 3-5 items, which are mounted against a 12x12 board. I'll be painting the composition from straight on as if looking down at the board (or if the board were hung on the wall), so that's something to keep in mind. The things that comes to mind when I think about it is a mausoleum, so dirt, moss, marble, stone, and then clocks make me think of it...so clock hands, numbers, and pendulums...I don't know if that helps at all but it's what I think about =)

What a creepy and sad theme!

Wow, that seems really challenging! I had to look it up-- "Remember your mortality"...on wikipedia they said photos of loved ones?

It makes me think of just old things, like what my grandparents would have in their home since... like things from the past like doilies, old dolls/figurines with paint chipping, or broken things.

Sorry if that's not helpful! But it sounds like an exciting class to be in!

:D! Good idea. I must have some broken things lying around .. somewhere O: I've been trying to find vintage looking things around the house that I can mount onto the board. I think that's my biggest problem right now :'P Everything I wanna use (teacups, candles) are too big! Thanks for the suggestions!
