Yugi had finally started going back to school, for once happy for the work they piled on and the distraction from the truth lurking around him.
He had found out that his dream hadn't been a dream, and the thief was real. Just as real as he or Atem.

He'd tried to pretend nothing had changed, it was much harder now and he couldn't bare to be around Atem without freezing or crying. He was glad for the weekend, and just left the house. No note, no nothing. He just wanted out.

He walked down the street to the bus stop, hands tucked in his jacket pocket and hood over his head. He didn't feel like standing out right now.

Yugi stared at the hand hesitntly. He had run away, gone back to his other self. "...I'm not returning to the hotel. I can't stay away from him...leave him alone."

Bakura shrugged, trying not to look too displeased. Chances were that the gig was up and that the Darkness knew.

"You told him about me?"

Yugi nodded slightly, wringing his hand in nervousness.
"I'm sorry...I just...I can't leave him alone. I can't do it! He needs me..."

Damn. Guessing what happened was one thing, hearing that it was true was another. Bakura crossed his arms, taking half a step back. He was going to be in trouble.

He'd been warned away from the boy, so naturally, he had to disregard the warning. And it wasn't just a meeting this time, it was a kidnapping. Kinda. Either way, exactly what he'd been told not to do. While it was fun doing it, it wasn't very fun thinking of the possible consequences.

"You shouldn't have told him," said Bakura, frowning.

Yugi glanced away slightly.
"...I'm sorry." He wringed his hands. "He already knows your out there, I didn't think it would really matter..."

"It matters because he didn't want me near you," Bakura pointed out. Hm, was there a tactful way of saying what he wanted to say next? His command of Japanese wasn't quite good enough yet, so he went for, "If the Darkness kills me, it's your fault."
