And now for someone we haven't seen in awhile . . .

[Walking down the street is a Crow. But not any normal Crow, not by any means. He doesn't have any markers, for one, and he's more slender-built, wearing a pair of skintight jeans and a tight black tank.

He looks around, not quite surprised, one hand on his hip.] I always knew I'd end up here again.

[ooc: Hello, I'm Nina?]

Well, well, well... lookee who's here. [He gives Crow a once-over.] Now, where da fuck you been?

[The toddler (yes, it's really been that long in real life) clinging to his leg babbles and points at the "new" arrival.] Da?

[He chuckles. It sounds carefree, but there's a hint of ruefulness in it.] You mean where've I been here or where've I been there? Because those are two totally different answers, Jack.

[He glances at the toddler. Unlike most Crows, his first response isn't to get on one knee to open up for a hug; instead he just raises an eyebrow.] Somebody forget the magic glove?

Anywhere. [He's not gonna come out and say "I missed you," but he can at least admit to himself that things were different without him.]

Oh, Jackie... [He picks little Jackie up.] You ain't met her yet, have ya? [He says to the child:] Dis yo Uncle Crow, girl.

[She blinks at him with her large violet eyes and outstretches her hand again.] Da?

No, yo Da at work getting' nekkid fo' some crackheads.

Went home. Struck out on my own. Daddy's pissed. [And there's something about the way he says "Daddy," like it's just a word--nothing that means much of anything to him anymore.] Or at least he was three years ago.

Is this one from here or there? [He nods at Jackie.]

[What a coincidence Kalin is walking down that street too. He looks more or less the same as ever, though his own growing disgust for this world shows plainly on his face and he never ever thought he'd be this desperate and wishing to return home.

But all that is besides the point. As he spots Crow he gives a half smile. In spite of all the time that's past he knows who it is without ever having met him before, gleaned it from the thoughts of others.]

Oh? Can't say I ever thought I'd just run into you, dear.

[He makes a kind of 'tch' noise.] I'm not your dear.
