At Least One Reported Dead in Manhattan Crane Collapse
Crane collapsed from 354 East 91st Street towards corner of 91st and First Ave at about 8 am this mroning..
Community Centre is at corner of 93rd and First, about 500 ft away at most.
Today was sposed to be last day of work -- end of contract covering mat leave, which I'd kept menaing to post about before, but not like this!
Now istead of cleaning out desk, am helping other few employees who managed to get in to run an impromptu local evacuation centre, but being told we may need to evacuate further away at a moment's notice depending on what authorities determine about safety of surrounding buildings etc.
Holy fucking shit.
PS. I'm okay! Just don't ask me about my PTSD when the adrenaline runs out, plz. La la la NOT THINKING ABOUT IT YET.
maybe I'll move to gananoque or napanee, no skyscrapers and cranes there
