I have a desk! It is desky and wonderful and holds my computer! I also found a backpack that can hold my laptop. It was a little pricier than I would have liked for a purchase I'm making under duress, but I don't exactly have a choice. The laptop is three kilograms and the buses go on strike next Monday. I forgot to get a picture of the back of mine. Aka the part where I hit my thumb with a hammer at least a dozen times. ;p

Very cool costumes. :) Hopefully the transit people will come to a deal so they won't go on strike. That totally sucks.

There aren't currently any more talks scheduled. (What is up with that? Someone should lock them in a room and not let them out until they have a deal. Maybe then both sides would get over themselves.) I'm doing the departmental seminar at the end of the month, so I need to bring my laptop to campus.

Transit picks on the riders because the people who have the power to negotiate don't use transit. So they're hoping that the riders will put pressure on the higher-ups to get them what they want.

I know the logic, I just think it's a skeezy tactic, using people who need to get to work or school as bargaining chips. And think they shouldn't be allowed to strike, because so many people are depending on transit.

Actually, the white paint isn't too bad, it comes off fairly quickly with soap and water. It's the EYELINER that takes forever to get off. :p

Hehe, that was the day we moved. He wasn't thinking his socks would be photographed. :p
