So very COLD! Apparently, the Barclay building doesn't need trivial things like HEAT. :p I've spent the entire day with my coat wrapped around me. Unfortunately, that's a little TOO much like a blanket. Kanji IS the devil! But it's good that rehersals are going well.

I missed class on Wednesday due to the fact that I'd like to keep myself free of frost-bite. Did I miss much in Japanese class?

I actually managed to study effectively for yesterday's kanji quiz. I feel like I've got a clean slate as far as enthusiasm and retention go, though, to be sure, I've only been to two Japanese classes so far this term. But it's a little scary, because there's a lot I need to review that didn't take last semester, and I feel like if I even look at it I'll fall into the morass of crammed-and-fading material that was the last two months before Christmas, and never make it out alive. ^_^'>

This is the beginning of kanji for us. I've been sitting there writing things out and cursing whoever invented this system. :p

Word to the wise: don't wait to study your new kanji until the day before the quiz, like I do. :P What's your textbook called?

Yeah, I know. Which reminds me not to complain to my sister, because she will have NO sympathy for me. :p

Doesn't that go for everything language related? :p And we use Mina no Nihongo. :p

oh...quick bit of randomness: when i have the sound on my Sudoku game, and i win, it sounds like the battle theme for Exile: escape from the pit. I half expect when i do sa large chain without checking my work, that itll say 'cool'
