I was born there, but since i grew up 400 miles away, the influence of Amber was a bit weak. I'm sure it follows an inverse square weakening with distance.

Also, when i was in college, gaming was girly. (I have posted about this at length over the years at CM.) And since i eschew all things girly, i avoided gaming until well into my adult life and it became apparent that it was not super hung up on gender, in the right groups. As such, the bulk of my experience is with 3.5, though Savage Worlds, M&M, D20 Modern/Future, Northern Crown, etc, are the games i've played the most.

Amber? Never. I doubt i've ever even seen it as a one shot at an ENworld gameday!
