Wildfires

Due to the very real chance of wildfires in the area (some too close for comfort), I gathering together stuff that I might need if I have to evacuate.  I live in the Piney Woods of Texas.  I don't want to think of fire here but I need to consider the possiblity.  Because we are 18-24 inches behind in rain and there isn't any in the forecast for at

I just gathered together my important papers (even then much I can request online or view online these days), contacts, all the film I haven't scanned yet (why have I stopped scanning for so long?), my camera and a few items that can't be replaced (they only have value to me).

I'm not worrying about anything else. As it is, I only have a few pieces of jewelry that have any value and, at some point, I'm going to go trade most of them in for the gold. XD (still reason to take them). Even my out of print books I'm not worrying about. It'd take some work but even they could be replaced (even tho I'd lose some signed copies, it isn't the end of the word).

I have actually thought about what I'd grab if I had only 25 minutes to get out. Though, as my dad pointed out, wildfires can move so fast, you might only have 5.
