*wibbles*  Pluto.  (commences fist shaking at Icka)  You just had to get me into this, didn't you?

I just started reading it last night and am nearly done with all the available scans.  What an amazing series.  It's making me cry!  TT  I care so much for the characters and.... I'll it there.  Don't want to say anything that spoils it.  But its ( Read more... )

*laughs* Sorry?

I really enjoyed the series as well. Tenma is completely my favourite character, he's brilliant, yet more than a little crazy.

Although the one line that really has me thinking is Gesicht's comment about how to spot the difference between humans and robots... Robots make no unnecessary actions. Which can be taken as both a psychological and physical point of view.

... and after watching Astro Boy, and reading Pluto, I keep eyeing the electronic baby toys that Xan plays with... they often seem to be competing for his attention... o_O

Don't say it unless you mean it. Xp

For me, it makes me think of where humanity might be going. (and it driving me nuts with the urge to somehow cross it over with Cyborg 009)

I actually haven't watched Astro Boy. Now, I just might have to. Of course they are competing for his attention. Holding a baby's attention is what they are programed to do. It's their purpose. What are they without that purpose?

Go ahead and read it. I don't regret it. It is an amazing story.

It isn't written -by- him (he's been dead since '89) but it is based off the world of "Astro Boy." Though, I'm going to think of him as Atom from now on. Better stick with his original name.

It is awesome. I just discovered that two more chapters were posted yesterday. Will be reading them when I get home. Sadly, I have no idea if it will be published outside of Japan. Wikipedia says that there are some legal issues between the publisher and Osamu Productions.

Oh! Did I tell you I got a tattoo?
