This poem was inspired by a prompt from DW user Dialecticdreamer. It also fills the "rescue / recovery" square in my 12-23-21 card for the Story Sparks Fest Bingo.
One Bite at a Time
The cows are eating the planet
because people are eating the cows.
There are too many people,
and also too many cows.
The world needs saving.
These problems are
not easy to solve.
