Happy Christmas!

Hope it's going well for everyone. We had a good midnight mass -- 43 people which was pretty good. Reasonable amount of smoke and not many coughs!

I was going to try to reply with 'y blwydden neuadd dda' but I have a feeling that isn't quite right - aka completely wrong! Anyways, Happy new year - and hope you had a good party and a lovely time with Th.

blwyddyn is year

newydd is new (neuadd = hall!)

dda is good (mutated after a feminine noun)

I'm having a lovely time with Th -- who is amused that you got his initial right!

Given I've not seen it written down before, so was only going on an oral (aural?) memory of a lesson(!) from my cousins about 2yrs ago, I'd call that 'not bad'! :D

[grins] It was indeed impressive! I'm just amused by the fact you ended up with a real word with [i]neuadd[/i] but possibly you have seen that written on signs somewhere.
