The Academy is relatively peaceful for the day, so Abbot has taken to stretching out on his bed, the window open, reading. The air is fresh, cool and his mind his clear and he loves it. He's wholly relaxed and placid, ready to try read until he can't keep his eyes open any longer. The only thing missing was some company, because reading was never ( Read more... )

She hears him before she gets the chance to see him but that's all right. Grinning quite a bit, she pokes her head out the door (for she'd spotted him through the window before) before giving him a curious look.

"Hm?" She opens the door completely and steps outside. She'd just come in a few minutes ago, though she had been in the back of their little home, working on the small garden she kept there. Moving to hug him in dirt-covered overalls, she pulls back and grins.

"What is it? You haven't otten into too much trouble, have you?"

Doyle smiles brightly up at Bee and offers her out the page he has painted, pride written all in his expression. He loves painting, he does, an has taken on quite a skill for it. He especially loves giving pictures to his mum because he loves her smile.

He will paint it one day, definitely.

"No, not trouble!" He frowns, giggling behind it, "I never get into trouble."

He hugs her a second time, because she needs hugs. Hugs are good.

Taking the offered page, Doyle will soon receive one of hose smiles he loves so much. She loves seeing his art, loves that he's found something that he enjoys doing as much as this. “It's beautiful,” she says and it's clear that she means it. “Can I put it up somewhere?”

She has other paintings she's done on the walls. Not all of them but more than a couple of graced the walls of their little home.

She grins. “Good, you're not allowed to get into any trouble. Not without me.”

She returns the hug, squeezing him tight before dropping a quick kiss against his forehead. “When you're done out here,” she says then. “You should come out back with me. I'm putting in all those flowers that were getting too big for the pots and I can always use a little help.”

"Oh," Doyle ducks his head sheepishly, grinning with a ridiculous sort of pride on his face. "If you want," he nods his head. So many of his paintings were up and about the house, but he loved seeing her smile over them.

"I won't, I'll tell you about trouble first!" He laughs and tiptoes to kiss her cheek after she kisses his forehead. "I can come now," he offers brightly, looking up at her with eager eyes, "Giving flowers new homes? I can paint them once they're settled in, too. They like to be painted, I think."

He smiles brightly and hugs her again, "Is it hard?"

Veles is good at a number of things but something he excels at? Is being very, very quiet. He's currently implementing this skill as he slips into the room, quiet as he can with a book held to his chest. It's not a new one, not y any definition of the word, but it's the one that Abbot had given him upon their first meeting.

It's the book he carries with him by default at this point.

Are you busy?

He hopes not and even if he is, Veles would stay. After all, he might be able to be of some use and if not? Well, he can make sure Abbot doesn't overstress himself (well, more than usual).

If he wants to find Theta he should probably consider looking in the hallway right outside their bedroom. There, all he has to do is look down and he will have a Theta, sprawled out on the floor and looking up at the ceiling.

No, he has no explanations for is actions and upon seeing Koschei, all he'll do is grin broadly at him and wave.

It has been a good day in his mind, a day that involved not attending classes and more importantly, being a burden on anyone who has tried to walk down this hall. Yes, Theta has a warped sense of what makes a successful day but well, what do you expect?

Koschei, upon being unable to find his friend, begins to downheartedly return to his dorm. Granted, the disappointment does not show on his face.

Only when he nearly trips over Theta does he blink and just stare at him fora few long moments, "Is the hallway really a great place to lie down and speculate?" It's teasing at first.

Koschei's palms begin to sweat and he takes a deep breath before setting the paper on Theta's chest, standnig awkwardly in silence for a few more moments.

He notes Koschei approaching long before he is taken notice of. A part of him figures the other boy would catch sight of him and another part was curious to see his reaction if he didn't.

Grinning widely, he waves up at the other. “Actually,” he informs. “It's very good. Not as comfortable as I'd like to to be bit well, nothings perfect, yeah?”

As the paper is set on his chest, he blinks, a little unsure of what to make of Koschei's actions. “For me?” He blinks, taking up the paper and pushs himself upright. Well this was certainly different, he'll admit that.

Scanning the page momentarily, he makes a rather displeased face. “Koschei, you know I'm not the one to come to if you need help on your maths....Actually, have you ever needed help on your maths? Ever? Even once?”

As an afterthought he adds, “The paper's nice though. I like it.”

Although he would never say it, John finds the emptied halls and abandoned classrooms almost a little sad. It seems wrong for a place such as this, so alive with people to be as silent as it is now.

It's with these thoughts in mind that he starts for the lounge. Although he knows that most of the others have returned home as well as the students, he was hoping that there may be one or two stray individuals that he might be able to exist with. No, not chat, he doesn't need to talk if they weren't interested but the simple presence of another person would be quite welcome right now.

And oh, what a delight to find that the other person is Will!

“Well hello,” he smiles automatically. “I certainly wasn't expecting to see you here.”

Will jumps a little at the greeting and nearly drops his book, but he smiles softly upon seeing who it is, "Oh, well, hello!"

Standing and placing his book on his seat, he approaches the man with a rather warm smile, "I thought it best to remain here. I'm afraid I would get too distracted if I returned... well. It would take a very long while to return home, I think." He laughs nervously, "And you? You're still here, I see."

He's really rather glad that he knows now he will have someone to speak to! John had been a wonderful conversationalist the few times he's spoken with him and Will certainly feels most comfortable around him than anyone else.

John laughs softly though an apologetic smile follows right after. “Terribly sorry,” he offers. “I didn't intent to startle you.” Normally he's the one being startled, it's strange being the one doing the startling for once.

When Will and on his feet and approaching him, John smiles just a little more extending a hand out towards the other male. “Ah, I understand. Home isn't too terribly far but it's deserving of more than a weekend trip.” Chuckling softly, he nods. “I am. As I said, a bit too much travel for the time we have and well, who knows if I would manage to find my way back.”

Looking around the, he notes that even here there is a distinct lack of their colleagues. This however, is not nearly as unsettling as the hallways had been, though he had Will to blame for that.

“You were reading,” he says after a moment. “I do hope I didn't interrupt you. It wasn't my intention at all.”
