I think there's been a misunderstanding? The helpmate talks to other computers for me. That's what "interfacing with the local network" means.

I understand your frustration with that. Technology that seems so common in my home is completely unheard of here. Plus trying to adapt anything to work with Photons? Huge pain in the ass.

I'm not sure what you mean by photons in this context, but it did take my helpmate almost three minutes to interface with whatever this thing is. I was worried something was malfunctioning.
