There is a radio station that has been playing Same Old Lang Syne for at least 24 hours now.  Before that it was repeating Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie.  Before that it was playing Christmas music, which is why I have the station saved.  Now I don't really want to listen to Guthrie or Folgelberg, but I'm insanely curious about what the hell ( Read more... )

I actually just saw Sherlock Holmes a few days ago. AWESOME MOVIE!! And not just because Robert Downey Jr. was in it, but he did do a great job, as did Jude Law. The script was well written and well acted out as well. I was afraid that they were going to go for the flare factor (lots of explosions, cheesy one-liners, and lots of slow motion fight scenes), but they did an excellent job at spotlighting Holmes's genius yet quirky intellect. It reminds me a bit of JJ Abrams's Star Trek, good ol' intelligent entertainment.

Bottom line: go see it!
