Casey did one last check of his hut to make sure he hadn't left out anything that looked even vaguely spy-like before he answered. He'd promised Sarah Jane a dinner, and he fully intended to deliver.

"Hey," he said, opening the door. "Hope you're hungry. I've got pie and everything."

Sarah Jane smiled pleasantly, though she was quite shocked, to say the least. "I'm sorry, did you say dinner?" she echoed, only a part of her teasing. "I was getting ready to knock you over the head with one of Harry's oars to see if you were actually planning to...well, never mind. Dinner, you said?"

"If you want to come back in the morning, we can call it breakfast, but I don't think the salad is going to be as good then."

Casey thought maybe he was losing his edge, to get himself teased like that, but he decided that he didn't really care that much.

"And if you knocked me over the head with an oar, I probably wouldn't be in any shape to do the cooking. So it's a good thing you didn't do that, because I'm an excellent cook. I hope you like boar bacon quiche."

"I'm a horrific cook and I'd love boar bacon quiche," she said, as though the two things ought to go together and she offered him the brightest smile she had in her repertoire, taking a step inside. "I'm sorry for being a pill, I'm just getting a bit restless."
