Archie had been acting oddly lately. He had been short, more irritable, less his usual friendly self. Sometimes Bush wondered if he wasn't imagining it, but something seemed not quite right. What it was, though, he could not have fathomed.

All the same, Archie had asked Bush to help with these sailing lessons of his. What was this girl's name again? Jane something? He couldn't say the idea of teaching agreed with him much, but he supposed it was better than allowing putter around in boats without the slightest idea of what they were doing.

He was sorting the sails when he heard the woman's call and answered over his shoulder. " 'course, miss. Come on, then." His boat wasn't big, not as large as the Treader, but it would do for lessons.

"Miss?" she echoed with some bemusement, a genuine and broad smile on her face as she climbed aboard the ship and stood happily amidst all its trappings. "It's Sarah Jane Smith, but Sarah will work just fine. Short enough so that when you're yelling at me for wrongdoings, you won't run out of breath," she teased, eyes bright.

Archie still occasionally (if only in his thoughts) slipped and called Sarah Jane 'Miss'. Hearing it from Bush was no big surprise, and neither was her response.

He followed in after Sarah Jane, and gave the two of them a bright smile. "Well then, Sarah Jane, are you prepared to learn today?"

Sarah Jane brightened when she caught sight of Archie and headed over with something of a light skip to her step. "I've even brought my A-game, so I don't think I'll disappoint. Ready, willing, and able."
