[Yeti Hunt] - For Martha

She hadn't cared how many people had called it mad; Sarah Jane Smith wanted to venture out and see what was out there and she was going to do so, clad in a pair of camouflage grey-pants and a white winter jacket, fur lining the sleeves and hood. The camera she had absconded with sat warmly within mittened hands, and more importantly, she had ( Read more... )

That prompted a low laugh from Martha, who was in the fortunate position of knowing most of the island nearly as well as the back of her own hand. "We already have," she answered with a smirk and a brief nod back the way they'd come, her gloved hands shoved deep in the pockets of her black jacket. "The fence is invisible. She offered a mouthed 'thanks' at the tree branch, making sure it wouldn't cause too much noise as it recoiled back. "That's fairly ingenious," she said, making a mental note of the system. Just in case she needed an article. "I'm more curious, though, about what's here. Her voice had been kept hushed as her eyes were active.

At least this time, she wasn't going to get arrested.

"But the meteor's just theory," Martha pointed out with a quick backwards glance. "Although I bet the Doctor would be able to tell you for certain."

Drawing up short, she crouched down behind a small copse and motioned Sarah Jane to join her. Up ahead, there was what looked like an elk, if elks were as big as an elephant and prehistoric.

"Nothing out here is right," she mumbled, mostly to herself.
