I tried.

So, it seems like everyone and their dogs are obsessed with this Twilight series.  My boss squees like a fangirl over Edward, the floor manager is naming her daughter Bella, one of the other floor leads goes into convulsions anytime we mention Edward, and my sister will have serious freak outs if the names Bella or Edward are even mentioned ( Read more... )

I admit, I enjoyed reading these books immensely (although I didn't like where Meyers took the storyline in the last book). I'm with you though, that Meyers writing is totally overrated, but I didn't mind that much when I read it. Maybe because it was what I expected (it's a teenage-chick-lit after all) and probably because I read the novels in English, which isn't my first language. In English I didn't mind all the stuff which had me cringing when I read parts of it translated to German. I guess it sounds worse in your mother tongue. But like I said, I could easily ignore that in English. Anyway I understand what pissed you off about these books, I just don't share it :-). The teenage girl in me had fun reading these books and that's all that matters. To me anyway...

I know a lot of people who looooove these books.

I don't get it. I read an excerpt and it was all I needed to know.

*squishes you*
I agree completely!

I read a page from one of the books and wanted to shoot myself. And then my friend read a couple pages out loud to me and I wanted to shoot her. SO FREAKIN BAD. I don't get how people could like it. And it's all getting REALLLLLLY annoying, I just want it to go away. JKR needs to bring HP back, then the world would be sane again *sigh*.

You're entitled to your opinion, as am I mine- and I feel there's an incredible amount of hypocrisy from you calling her a shit writer and everything else you let rip about. At least the speech of her characters are strung together in coherant sentences and ellipsis comes less frequently than nearly every other word. Remember, just my opinion :)

The same could be said about your writing. Your characters lack depth and your writing is nothing special. You and Stephanie have lots in common, except that she's a published author who've grossed millions in book sales and you're not.

Hey don't you have a customer to ring up? Stop trying to sound so deep with your juvenile musings.

I always find it interesting when people are anonymous and don't have the balls to say mean things to someone under their own name.

I will say this. My fanfic writing is NOTHING like my personal writing. I've won awards for my personal writing, I've gotten published, I finished my first novel at the age of 12. Have I grossed millions, yet? No. Do I hope to one day? Yes.

And next time you think it's appropriate to attack me, put a name to your review.
