4. I've been on AO3 a lot but can't concentrate long enough to get through anything. it's frustrating and certainly bolstering the numbers of a bunch of fic :D

Getting logged out even when in the middle of something has been happening to me a lot on all sorts of platforms. Our internet has been verrrry slow, too.

I'm not sure the logout issue is new, but I find it happens regularly on DW in particular, and I often don't notice until I'm trying to comment. But I have had some long delays online too.

The numbers at AO3 have clearly kept going up regularly but given that those numbers are page views, I suspect a lot of the increased traffic also comes from the fact that so many access it via mobile. So even with very long works, they're not downloading.

Every once in a while when there are server interruptions there due to planned work or such, I see people wailing about losing the works they were reading and I'm wondering "Why are you reading so much of this online?"

But that aside, if you're doing repeated searches and checking out a whole bunch of results or links, that adds up even if you're not actually reading anything on the site itself.
