The flowers look beautiful. I'm amazed that your lilac lasted 4 seasons on that balcony with all of the traffic (and drama) it gets.

I know that ever since getting eReaders, I'm loathe to read fiction on it either.

Really? Why so? I'm curious bec. I've been thinking about getting an eReader ... maybe a Kindle but I'm not sold on anything just yet.

Sorry, that sentence may have been unclear. I meant, I'm loathe to read fiction on my computer, not the eReader.

The Kindle may work depending on what you want to read on it. But I think other eReaders are more useful for fanfic (which is about the only thing I have on there). I've heard they're going to make it epub compatible, and that'll be a big difference.

Your balcony cracks me up. So much traffic!

I love your narration of the nesting saga ;)

It make us laugh all the time -- and best of all, free!

I love your bird and balcony stories, as well as the photo's. I really liked the Lilac and the Butterfly...

Yeah, I was glad I could catch it at last, as we've seen it come by twice before but it was moving so much and far enough away that it was a bit tough getting the camera ready in time.

Well, good luck to the pair of them.

You're lucky to have flowers this early, we're still hovering around freezing in the early AM.

Yeah, I was surprised Mike took the chance. Monday night hit the mid-30s. But we're on a second floor which helps keep them a little warmer and the weather's been so up and down (yesterday was in the low 70s) that overall they seem to be ok. He's still got a shelf of plants inside though so he's been hedging the weather bets!

Such beautiful flowers and all that green.

Remember when people said that those who grew up with computers would feel much more comfortable reading on a computer I never quite believed it. Now we have ereaders and other devices it's a moot point.

I think it is true to a point. I mean, I spend hours and hours reading online -- usually email but also the flists. But I think it's a matter of what you're used to. If you're in a field that requires a lot of reading, chances are most of that will be digital now. But when you choose to read, for leisure, I think it makes sense that people want something as convenient as a book to do it with.
