Yeah the Army is tough to relationships, my boyfriend just deployed for the 3rd time in about 4 years or so...but I was seeing someone else for almost two years before I met him....so my boyfriend and were together only a little over two before the Army sent him to Iraq for 15 months...and then before his deployment is even over, I am supposed to deploy as well.
