you are golden.

When I was in California recently, I felt so inspired by all the GOOD food choices I saw others making; when I came home, I vowed to start back eating healthy and make working out a priority again.  I was doing great before my Florida vacation, but then I was "on vacation" and when I came home, I didn't really get back to where I left off before.  ( Read more... )

It was good! It's a bit of trial and error because I don't really measure or go by recipes, but so far most of mine have been yummy.

I've only ever had Bob Evans's food that they sell in grocery stores, never been to one of the restuarants. And yeah, I only eat at CB maybe twice a year for that reason.

Awesome food is awesome. Since you seem to be already invested in making smoothies, I would also SERIOUSLY consider investing in a juicer. Because juicing (of the non-steroid related variety) is awesome.

Also, not to derail the topic here, but, while I thank you for the well wishes regarding my mom's cancer situation (seriously, I owe you the biggest hug in the fucking world for that), I am desperately in need of opinions and notes regarding the story while I work out the kinks in the WordPress formatting so that it doesn't suck when I get this damn thing running (seriously, it might have been easier just putting it up on Tumblr, except that Yahoo destroys everything awesome it gets its hands on). So, here's a friendly point in the right direction. If you're already reading it, great, if not, that link'll git it for you. :)

We actually have a juicer, and when garden stuff starts coming in, I'm considering doing like some tomato and fruit juices. I ate a whole green pepper yesterday which for me is so weird. I'm trying really diligently to try new things I normally wouldn't, but make them HEALTHY new things.

I saved it to my comp so I could read it! Started the other day and am definitely going to read your story this weekend. I'm intrigued by the beginning, and I promise to give you honest thoughts.

I've got a killer recipe for stuffed green peppers, if you're interested. Very good, hearty meal, and easily converted to soup or leftovers. Just sayin'. :)

Glad you got the story. I could have saved you some trouble and sent over a properly formatted PDF file, which would be much easier to read than just copy/pasting what I posted, but as long as you got it, that's the important thing. I'll look forward to your feedback.

Oh nice! I'd love the recipe. If we get enough from the garden, I may want to make some stuffed ones.

I didn't even think of that. I was just like "MUST READ." I'll sit down soon and do it, it's just been insane here with gardening, canning, cleaning, and job search stuff.
