I did want to say this on the forums when the new logo was first unveiled, but we all know what would happen if I did.

I don't like the new logo. It just screams "daily facials".

The whole flyer does look a bit generic, like. Nothing that really stands out for me, I'm afraid. That 'A'doesn't look good at all to me.
But whatever gets the kids in, I suppose.

Oh yeah:

It's not a work of art, and it probably won't hang in the Louvre in fifty years time, but I haven't seen any flyers for any rock night that are noticably better, and it's better than the shitty paper ones, and most of the City ones (sorry Al).

Fair play Spike. I think it looks good. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Glady stayed away from the 'list of bands slightly translucent in the backround' thing.

That usually annoys me as well. Because often what's written on the flyers has very little bearing on what's actually played.

I can't take credit for the design though, that was xerowalsh :)

Not that I have any interest in the content, but thought I'd mention (after other naysayers) that the flyer doesn't suck.

It's a flyer, it's job is to convey information, not cause an emotional reaction. And thanks, it doesn't suck :)
