So once again the night shifts take me under their wing and I'm back to messed up sleep patterns, not much company and more money. Hmmm, I'm fairly certain Rod Hull died in 1999 after falling from the roof of his house while adjusting his TV aerial.

As for reading ourselves stupid... I don't know about that. Anything that gets more of the population reading is a good thing. HP & DVC are fun, but lightweight, but it's better than not reading at all. Most of the UK are thick as pig shit (wander round town and prove me wrong, if you disagree), so anything that stirs a modicum of brain activity has to be a good thing.

It just annoys me when people read HP and think they're suddenly literate. But that's a whole other rant.
