I'm not sure why, but we Mexicans (I'm Mexican by the way (: ) are unusually receptive to these sorts of things and they are so much a part of our lives sometimes that we joke about them. I can only say I've seen one ghost in my life - and it was not such a clean experience but luckily since then I haven't seen any more

I believe in demons and angels and their presence in our world, but not in the spirits of people who have died being present in quick people's lives in a tangible way. In your experiences would you call these presences demonic or of deceased people?
You have a point that if I have never seen the person in question before, how can I assume that they are a deceased person and not a demon? I've never thought of it that way before, but in my mind it's never come across that way because they're just trying to seek attention and nothing more. For our culture, there is also presence of angels and demons on earth, but there are also ghosts and presences, so usually there is a difference for us. From what you described, it sounds like a ghost. But whatever it is, I would say just to pray.
