I'm alright now, I'm just sore all over from all the walking D: I've been told not all cons are that crowded (Portcon up in Maine is evidently 10% the size of AB) I'd just suggest checking, if it boasts the title of Largest Convention in such and such area, I'd stay away XD

Yeah, it's one of those experiences that was good to have but not necessary to repeat.

Oh man. My friends don't understand why I'm not the biggest fan of cons.

I just... really don't find them all that interesting. Sure, it's nice to meet people who like the same fandoms as you do, but can't you just talk about fandoms with friends and people you know? [And on livejournal ahaha]

Not to mention that they're hot, sweaty and crowded. Meh, no thanks.

I don't understand why my friends love it so much OTL

It's all those terrible things and more; I'm a far more engaging person online

It can be hard to enjoy the con when you cosplay or tries to finish organizing something. There are always little things that need to be done at the last minute. It may be more enjoyable for you if the con is more closer to home and you don't have to get up that early.

That was a major part of it; we all actually live relatively close to the city, but getting a hotel room would've cut the stress in half :/

I had my back turned when it first happened but D: was pretty much my facial expression (anxiety kept me from saying anything to them though) The Nazi thing is a huge problem sometimes even to the most tactful individuals; cosplay is really no excuse to me. I visited Dachau when I went to Germany and...I don't want to say that makes me more in touch with the reality of it and thereby better than everyone, but...

Wait, were you the Belarus that snuck into the Russia picture? (I was standing closest to you XD)

It's no big deal, I kind of had an inkling that it wouldn't be my cup of tea.
