Pulchritude
pul•chri•tude [puhl-kri-tood, -tyood]

Noun - Physical beauty; comeliness.

Origin: 1350-1400; Middle English < L pulchritūdō beauty, equiv.
to pulchri- (comb. form of pulcher beautiful) + -tūdō -TUDE

I'd think that a word meaning "beauty" would be beautiful in itself, but I've never really liked the word "pulchritude". It sounds like it should mean something else.

"Let's get out there and show some pulchritude for the team!"

"I was thinking of dating him, but I just didn't like his pulchritude."
