Game Over

After two weeks in YunHo’s apartment, JaeJoong found it harder and harder to play any 'games' with this guy. Yet more, Jae became extremely frustrated around that dork.

Never before had anyone resisted JaeJoong’s seduction skills as much as this YunHo.

He was still sleeping on the floor, though Jae had asked him several times to come to bed. He avoided any unnecessary skin-ship and broke away from kisses like something was wrong with Jae. And that hurt a certain someone’s feelings.

One morning JaeJoong purposely came out of the shower still quite wet, letting water drip down his body, and he barely wrapped the towel below his hipbones.

This was an almost 100% sure way to drag the other’s attention. Yet, Jae was wrong.

YunHo just looked at him with wide eyes and disappeared in the bathroom.

JaeJoong’s jaw dropped almost to the floor.

How could this happen?

Jae breathed deeply, dried off water from his body and went to put on his school uniform. He always left it on the floor in a messy pile, yet every morning it was neatly put on a chair next to the bed.

YunHo didn’t care about Jae literally throwing himself at him, but he cared about clothes? He cared if Jae was attending lessons - he always put sticky notes on JaeJoong’s books, which were put in an obvious place next to his clothes. He cared if he was eating well - there was a note on the fridge too. Yet he didn’t ask anything when Jae disappeared for a few nights during the first week.

Actually, he wasn’t so much of a talker at all. Mostly, Yun answered some straight questions or said some casual phrases - nothing too personal, like he had some secret, or like he had nothing to tell at all.

“Aish. This kid makes me think too much.” Jae smoothed back his still wet hair and sat behind the counter, which separated the living/bedroom from the kitchen.

“At least I have a place to stay.” he sighed and reached for a cup of tea, already prepared by YunHo, though it was good that Jae didn’t manage to grab the cup, because it would probably slip out of his hands.

The bathroom doors opened and a slightly reversed dejavu struck JaeJoong.

YunHo was rubbing his hair with a towel, and the only thing that blocked his full view of that God-like body was another towel, securely wrapped around the other’s lower waist.

That person, who right now didn’t look as dork at all, reached toward the counter and Jae’s heart jumped in his chest, along with his already hard member in his pants, but for nothing.

YunHo just took his glasses and put them on, meeting JaeJoong’s dazed eyes.

More than anything he wanted YunHo to claim him right then on that counter.

“Are you ok JaeJoong?” YunHo asked like he really cared and intensely stared at Jae’s face.

It was incredibly hard for him not to kiss those plump lips, not to touch Jae’s body every time he teased YunHo.

That was a real torment. But how could he do all the things he wanted to do and with someone he barely knew. It seemed that the other didn’t want to tell him about his past, and YunHo wasn’t from those who forced things.

“Yes. I’m Ok.” Jae sighed and jumped on his feet.

“Let’s meet at school.” He grabbed his bag and books and rushed out of the apartment.

“Did I do something wrong?” YunHo stood dazed and half naked in the middle of his kitchen for a moment and then got ready for school.

That was the first day Jae didn’t search for YunHo in school.

*~*~*~*

Fire everywhere.

Screams and cries echoed around the blurry darkness.

A sudden pain rushed through YunHo’s body and became more and more real. His back was almost burning for some unknown reason; his head spinning and aching like it was being hit with a hammer.

But he couldn’t scream as if he had lost his voice.

Something was holding him down, interdicting him to move. It felt like metal claws were pressing him against the ground full of shattered glass.

All he could manage to do was struggle, try to twist out of that painful grasp and scream for help.

“YunHo! YunHo!” A beautiful, distant voice screamed his name, hands tried to pull him out of agony.

“YunHo!”

YunHo’s eyes finally flicked open and a painful scream broke from his throat when he sharply sat on his improvised bed.

Arms entwined around his shaking frame, pulling him into a tight embrace.

“That was just a bad dream. You’re safe now.” JaeJoong whispered and caressed the other’s back slowly, rocking him back and forth.

“Would you… like me to stay next to you tonight?” Jae whispered again.

“Ye…No. But thank you.” YunHo sighed and tried to struggle out of Jae’s grasp, though the other tightened it.

“Will you be angry if I don’t listen to you?” Jae said and lowered both of them on the blanket, not letting go of YunHo.

“But… JaeJoong. I’m fine… I…”

“Shhh. Sleep.” Jae gently pressed his lips against the other’s forehead and softly hummed one of the rare ballads he knew.

His heart almost burst into pieces when he heard YunHo’s heavy panting and obscured screams.

The other’s body was almost twitching in spasms and for a minute Jae felt helpless.

What if his dork had some kind of seizure? What if his dork…

He did the first thing he could think of, gladly that was the right thing to do.

What would he do if something really happened?

Where would he go? How could he search for someone else?

Jae bit his lower lip and continued to hum, caressing the other’s back and shoulders.

This time he had lost.

Kim JaeJoong never lost his own game. Yet, this wasn’t his game already for a long time. This was never his game in the first place. This was never a game at all. This time things were too real for JaeJoong to bear.

*~*~*~*

'I won’t be at school today. ~JJ'

A small note was attached to the fridge.

JaeJoong’s clothes were gone. All clothes, even the school uniform.

His books were gone too, along with his toothbrush and some other things.

“I did something wrong. Again.” YunHo muttered and took the note away from the fridge, throwing it in the trash.

“Why do gods punish me like this?” He said quietly biting his lower lip and dragged his feet back to the shower.

“Life goes on, I guess.” He looked at the mirror in the small hallway and sighed heavily before he left the apartment.

*~*~*~*

It was rather uncomfortable to sit next to JaeJoong’s friends when there was no sight of Jae, even more, because, apparently, Jae had left YunHo’s place for good.

He just sat behind one of the empty tables in the cafeteria and opened his art-history book. There was no need for him to read it today, yet it was the only way to keep his thoughts away from a certain someone, though he compared every single portrait with JaeJoong’s perfection and understood how worthless were the works of worldwide known artists, compared to someone like Jae.

“Hello Jung YunHo.” A frame blocked the light for a moment and sat down.

“Yoo… YooChun. Hello.” YunHo stumbled and went back to his book, avoiding direct eye contact with the taller male, like he did since their first and last talk in the classroom.

“Where’s JaeJoong hyung?” He asked in a pretty casual tone, though YunHo could sense worries in it.

“I don’t know.” YunHo muttered.

“You’re sleeping with him and you don’t know?” Sarcasm was overflowing.

“I am not sleeping with him.” Somehow YunHo found that statement offending. Not for himself, but for Jae.

“Are you kidding me? He’s been living with you for two weeks.” YooChun smirked and leaned back against the wall behind him.

“I didn’t have sex with him during those two weeks he lived with me. I slept on the floor.” YunHo uttered and turned the page so sharply, it almost split out from the book.

YooChun’s hysterical laughter filled the cafeteria.

“You're serious? Amazing. You’re the first one. I bet you left quite an impression on hyung. But why 'lived'?”

“He left this morning. All his stuff is gone.” YunHo continued to focus on the book, though anger in him rose at an amazing rate.

“Then you really left an impression on him. I can imagine how he’s blasting his mind with that melodramatic Christian rock at Siwon’s place.” YooChun laughed, and only then realized he had said too much. This YunHo somehow managed to get information even without trying.

“You know where he is?” YunHo’s eyes burned with impatience.

“Yes. He’s at his cousin’s, Siwon's, place. Few blocks away. Want the address?” YooChun mentally slapped himself.

“Yes. Please.” Desperation was almost making YunHo choke on his words.

What could YooChun do now? He had said too much.

He took a pencil and one of the notebooks in front of YunHo and scribbled an address on one of the pages.

“Good luck.” He stood up and went back to JunSu, who had been watching them the whole time.

YunHo jumped on his feet and threw his things back in his backpack, ripping out the page with Siwon’s address.

This time he would do the right thing.

It took him less than half an hour to find Siwon’s house and then his apartment.

As YooChun had predicted, quite a heavy music echoed around the hallways.

YunHo knocked as loud as he could and froze.

Music went down and someone unlocked the door.

A tall, handsome man, wearing dark blue jeans and a light blue button-down, opened the door.

“May I help you?” He said and raised his eyebrow.

“Ye… Yes. Is Kim JaeJoong here?” YunHo stumbled.

“Not right now. He went after beer. Who’s asking?” He scanned YunHo with his eyes.

“Jung YunHo.” YunHo swallowed loudly.

“And what do you want YunHo?”

“When JaeJoong comes back… tell him… that I would like him to… come back home.” YunHo bowed and turned away without receiving an answer.

Siwon shut the door and turned toward a frame that stood behind the door all the time.

“Heard that?” He smirked and went back to his stereo equipment.

JaeJoong panted.

It was time to end this reckless game.

He rushed to the bedroom and grabbed his backpack, stuffing all his stuff in it, even the things he usually left at Siwon’s place, knowing that he would come back eventually.

“You’re going back to him? I thought you left him.” Siwon sat in the sofa and watched how Jae flew from one room to another.

“I just can’t… I…” Jae froze for a moment.

“You can’t what?” The other laughed.

“He just has to know.” Jae grabbed his jacket and his bag and literally flew out.

“That crazy fellow.” Siwon smirked and turned his stereo back on.

*~*~*~*

It was nearly midnight when a knock on the door awoke YunHo from his restless sleep.

He got up from the floor and dragged his feet toward the door.

“I’m sorry.” Jae muttered when YunHo opened the door. It took him more time to think of what to say, and then, how to say things to YunHo, so he ended up circling around the block for hours.

He took a deep breath and instead of looking in YunHo’s eyes, he focused his gaze on floor.

“I have 8 sisters. Till the age of 15 I lived in one house with them. My step-father had found an interesting way of how to use them as tools to make money. When my 16th birthday approached, he started to make plans for me too, so I ran away. I ended up under the wing of a mafia leader called Rain. To repay for living expenses I started to do 'runs' for him.”

“JaeJoong…” YunHo tried to interrupt him.

“No. Let me finish YunHo.” JaeJoong took another deep breath.

“'Runs' means that I deliver money, documents and other stuff to gangsters around the town. In my case - along with some other services.” JaeJoong shivered, yet continued.

“My debt is big, because at one point I started to steal drug from my employers. Mostly coke and pills. But I’ve been clean for more than a year. But I need to repay my debt now. I’m doing 'runs' a few times a month.”

“Jae… Stop. I…” YunHo’s second attempt to interrupt Jae was just as unsuccessful as the first one.

“No. I will finish. I won’t have the courage to do it later. My plan was to play with you, so I could stay here, but I lost at my own game. I lost it the first night when I entered your apartment. Instead of you falling for me, I have fallen for you.” JaeJoong went silent and still locked his gaze on the floor.

“This is the truth about me. This is who I am. I just thought you should know.” He bit his lower lip and turned around, full of determination to leave.

Arms entwined around his waist and pulled him into a warm embrace.

“Come home. Please.” YunHo mumbled against the other’s hair.

“Home?” JaeJoong’s voice shook a little and strong arms pulled him even closer.

“Yes.” The other said quietly.

JaeJoong turned around, still locked in YunHo’s embrace. His hands twined around the taller males’ neck, fingers interlacing in the other’s hair.

Their lips met in a kiss - deep and passionate, yet somehow shy and scared.

Their tongues tried to remember every single detail of each other’s cavern.

Both of them shivered slightly, like this was the first time they kissed someone; like this was the first time they ever felt someone so close.

“Let’s go inside.” YunHo broke away with a gasp and reached for JaeJoong’s bag, which the latter had dropped on the floor minutes ago, the other hand still wrapping around JaeJoong’s delicate waist.

“You won’t sleep on the floor anymore, right?” JaeJoong mumbled, nuzzling closer to YunHo’s side, while the other locked the door behind them.

“If you want then…”

“I want you.” JaeJoong kissed the curve of YunHo’s neck.
YunHo froze.

“YunHo?” JaeJoong looked up at the other’s face, which was full of some kind of fear right now.

“JaeJoong. I have something to tell you too.” These words made Jae’s heart almost jump out from his chest. The thing YunHo was about to say didn’t seem nice.

“Then say it.” Jae swallowed and continued to look at YunHo.

“I don’t know who I actually am.”
