Picnic!

Apr 19, 2008 18:53

Molly has decided it is officially warm enough to drag the people in her life out to a picnic in the gardens. No invitations, since it's Molly, but she is delightfully oblivious to any sense of planning which of her friends will go well together and which ones won't. So Curio, Sagramore, Linden, Rosencrantz, Tom, Ada and pretty much anyone else ( Read more... )

oh, a picnic! rosencrantz loves picnics -- he loves daffodils, and spring days, and being around people -- and he loves kites. the only thing that could make a picnic better is a kite, and if there's a good wind and room to run around in, he'll bring a few to share ... (this one's shaped like a boat! :D :D :D)

Molly is delighted! She's never seen a kite like this before, or anything beyond the most simple paper and string constructions.

it's how he keeps himself entertained, with paper and string and everything else, and he's delighted at molly's delight, to be a part of joy shared. he may even be showing off a bit for her. "i like this one the best," he explains, "because it stays upright, just like a proper boat ought -- and the sky beneath it is like the water, you see? except it isn't water -- it's the sky, which is a great deal more impressive, i should think --"

"Tis magic! How does it stay upright, so?"

Woo, liberal drinking!

Sagramore kisses her first, long and lasting and pleasant, and with only a tiny bit of bitterness in his mouth from his early morning seizure.

If she notices the bitterness, she diplomatically ignores it, and kisses him back quite thoroughly. She smells mostly of daffodils, and tastes a little of wine, though not overbearing.

"Bajos, how are you?" cheerfully, stroking her hair.

Linden smiles and settles down carefully, keeping his coat off the grass. He has, we can swear, never been on a picnic before.

And Molly is extra certain he has enough food and drink. And brings him flowers, to make sure he's enjoying them too.

"Child, you're so careful of an old man," he says, at some point.

"Oh, pshaw, th'art not so old. D'ye not like flowers?"

Ada comes with a curtsey, and a springish hat she found in the plot hole. She wasn't sure what to contribute in the way of food or drink, so she's brought nothing else, save her usual good natured enthusiasm.

Which is quite enough. Molly greets her with great enthusiasm of her own.

Caliban kind of wants to see Molly. He's not sure if it's just because of the incredible loneliness or the fact that she kissed him the other day and it was the most wonderful thing that's happened to him in a very, very long time, but...here he is, wandering around outside and vaguely wondering if he should be picking flowers or something.

"Cal!" She bounds over, delighted to see him. "Come, it's a picnic!"

He grins at her, blushing a bit but looking very pleased. "Oh - hey, Molly! A picnic?"

"Aye, surely. We've cheese, and bread and wine."
