I know this isn't too much of a help, but I was afraid of Elle. I ended up having to get reassigned, though, since it's really too hard to try and redeem someone you're afraid of.

His situation is one where I think--hope anyway--I could help. But I must find a way not to be terrified of speaking to him or being near him physically.

I feel that it is my fault I am afraid.

Your fault?

Who is your inmate, anyway?

The Admiral decided he was safe enough as he is, but I don't understand exactly how I am safe. That is my fault, isn't it?

His name is Mano. He can disintegrate things.

His name is Mano. He can--what is the word? He can disintegrate things with his hands.

...I can see why you'd be a little intimidated, but you have control over how much power he has, right? If he has even a little bit left, you can just ask the Admiral to lower his abilities until you two are comfortable with each other.

If the Admiral has already decided his present state is safe, would he listen to me wanting to reduce it?

I've heard that Wardens can ask for their Inmates' powers to be reduced. Why not just do that instead?

I'm considering it, monsieur.

I could probably throw something together for you that could disintegrate him back, if I had the lab time?

I don't think that would help.

Everyone has said the sensible things, but I'm afraid. I don't want him to know I don't trust him.
