Beatrice appears to have acquired a box of matches. At the minute she's just sitting in a corner, lighting pages from the back of her commonplace book and watching as they curl up and disintegrate into nothing but ash. It's so beautiful. So powerful. A tall young woman with black hair(pinned up and out of the way, thank you) reached down and extinguished Beatrice's current match with her fingers. "If you insist on doing that, why don't you move somewhere less dangerous? I'll guess that the people who live here would be less than thrilled if you burned it down."

Beatrice glared at her, slipping the dead match into her pocket and removing another one from the box. "They couldn't stop me. They can't keep me here any more. No one can."

"No one's keeping you here. In fact, if you were listening, I just suggested you go. There's a room with a large hearth you could be doing that on." She tilted her head. "Or if you are, in fact, trying to burn the house down, there are quicker ways to go about it."

"I know that. I could do it any time I liked." She doesn't actually know why she hasn't, yet. The effect of the water is beginning to fade, but not enough for her to realise anything was different about her. "I'm just - watching. Practicing." She's a little confused.
