This was really lovely. I like the layers in your writing, how theres always something more underneath the surface. Tonks' fears about Teddy, her worry about getting old, mixed with the innocent concept of Ginnys possible flirting. It makes for such an interesting read! :)

Oh man, I was so happy to see this again! I loved it the first time I read it and I love it now, every word. Your Tonks is 300% lovely, cautious and uncertain as she learns to reach out and let go a little with Ginny--who is is so, so gorgeous, and I love the way you've peppered a really soft, quiet melancholy in with the sparks of attraction they've got crackling between them. Just amazing.

And:

Tonks smiled, thinly. “I don’t feel young anymore.”

OOF. I still love this line so much--and that ending! It's such a great picture of two people who have lived through so much pain starting to feel out the future together, and they're just so good for each other here. This is such a beautiful, beautiful thing; I love it to bits. ♥

Thank you! I've never tried this pairing before, but they were surprisingly interesting to work with in this post-war type of setting. And there was definitely some great material to work with for both characters, what with the age difference, Tonks's motherhood, and the war looming over them both. I'm glad that you liked the fic so much!
