"This beach would look great on me."
"Hmm? Griff had no idea how something that lived in a bag could be so chatty all the time. There he was, trying to focus on his karate and she just wouldn't stop trying to converse with him. The weekend didn't seem to have an end in sight.
"You know what? You should draw me doing things for once! It would be like, exceptionally meta."
Griff shot the girl an amused look and paused his kata drill for the moment. "Can't do that, can I?"
"I have plenty of space," she said, rolling up her sleeves to show small areas of skin that weren't coated in tattoos of his drawings.
He shook his head, a little horrified by the idea. "I'm not drawing on you."
"Okay, fine! Draw me on one of those other, boring sketch books I know you keep on the side," she prodded, stretching out in the sand in a sort of thoughtful pose. "Besides, you need to practice your water. It still kind of sucks."
"It don't suck, waters just need a little extra attention is all," Griff argued.
"Could've fooled me-ee," she sing-songed, pointing out a particularly unattractive seascape sketched into her calf.
