one grand gesture

The greatest of stories could not compare to the effort put forth on this day!

Indeed, it was impossible not to sense that this was a day for greatness, grandeur and the most glorious of graces. Having only yesterday completed his initial sketches for an opulent costume, the noble designer prepared to put his skills to the test. Each stitch threaded ( Read more... )

fashion designers gone wild, nobody knows what he's talking about, it's not stealing if you're a sohma, only wishes he were cursed, best brother of all time?

Ah, how convenient it was for that unfortunate child to remark on this luminous post when he did. There had been some concern, given the hmm~ how should it be said? of course! constant presence of his scowl, so furrowed that it must occasionally impede his sight. Yet fate smiled down on Hiro - his luck was unmistakable! Ayame, benevolent of spirit as he was, could not allow the opportunity to pass unused.

"You must come down to my work room," he declared generously to this poorest of lambs. "I have something for you!"

I'm doing other things. And I don't want whatever you may have.

I see, I see! Your pride forces you to decline, though in reality you cannot help but prefer it to wearing the castoffs of your oversized cousins. Never fear, baby Hiro, I shall insist!

It isn't possible that we're related... Really. It must be some sort of mistake.

Even on a day like this, you're making a spectacle of yourself...

In such a strange city, of course the sound of his brother's voice must be as music to Yuki's ears! How warmed must his heart be, ah - the very thought of such familial love was enough to provoke anyone to tears!

"Indeed," he cried. "On this day, we must be especially spectacular in order to stand out from the crush of lesser posts! Come, Yuki, with your brother's aid, you too can succeed!"

Of such convenience were these devices, to allow him to communicate with so many of his family members at once! Their flaws in breaking and disconnecting so frequently could be easily overlooked. After all, was life itself not a desperate struggle for connection? Ayame himself could do no less than to contribute his utmost in this pure-hearted battle! Moreover, he would lend himself to it with flair and verve, a fashion fit to strike others to the heart and enflame their fashions in turn!

"Naturally," was his inspirational declaration, "someone so sensible as Hatsuharu must agree that these ideas are correct!"

(ooc: Everything looks a little better with a few frills! Even regular shirts. :B)

It couldn't hurt.

"Then we must forge on!" Ayame announced, a hand outflung in only the most graceful fashion. With no further ado - though much could be made of his noble actions - he began with a shirt, a simple shirt almost impoverished in its plainness, so stark and bare of color as to make the stoutest of hearts sorrow! Perhaps it had once belonged to another (possibly the practical Hatsuharu himself!), but having been reclaimed, it would undergo the greatest, no, the most brilliant of reinventions!

"Indeed, I could hardly do otherwise!" cried Ayame to this sympathetic yet enlightened stranger on the network. Really, the devices became more useful all the time! "The lacklustre quality to my family's wardrobe is most terrible." But he would change that! Lace and a certain number of frills must surely make amend for any of their shortcomings.

I must admit that it's only my nature. Leaving them to pick rags out of the lowest department stores - why, that would be a crime.
