So the photographers  community had a photo challenge this weekend to post our favorite photos of 2009.  This made me realize how big of a year 2009 was for my photography: first DSLR (thanks Stacey!), first experiments in post-processing (GREAT SUCCESS... it's too bad the pearl river mart of your childhood is long gone.

i don't know what dslr you have but can you white balance at all? the last two need some color balancing but i realize that is vague since i don't know what camera you're using. video has the same problem. i white balance probably 50 times a day on shoots.

I have a Nikon d50, and I most definitely can... but I'm not entirely sure how. I'll have to look it up, Are you sure it's not your monitor? They look pretty alright on my comp at home and at work and in Lightroom.

the skintone is super orange in the middle one and the general photo is orange in the second one- even the blues. my monitor is calibrated fairly well so i don't know... you never know about monitors, i guess. i also don't know if you intended that look, i guess.

white balancing involves focusing on something white and then adjusting until the skin tone matches real life skin tone. it's a pain in the freaking butt but it can really help in the long run.
