I'll keep this short. If you're going to hug or punch someone, would you usually ask, "Oh, heyyy, can I hug/punch you?" Probably not. You'd go for it and see what happened. That's pretty much how I judge what's cool or not with this guy. The only thing that you would need my permission for is killing him off, because that would constitute something that severely affects my playing.

Other than that, it's a go. If he reacts badly, it's because it's within his characterization to do so.
