Rhapsodia in blue

Just finished watching the Rhapsodia trailer at Suikox.com. And all I have to say is...holy shit, this looks like it might be the best Suikoden game EVAR. With a shit-ton of returning characters, SRPG gameplay and even goat-people, how can this game not be good? (Now let's just hope it has the Iron Chef cooking contest from SuikoII ( Read more... )

You doubt the gayness of Genkaku, Jr.? Dude, he and Jowy were like the major romantic couple of that game! Sure, he wasn't as gay as Jowy, but that's like saying Persona 2's Tatsuya isn't gay because he's not as gay as Jun. XD

Now, on the subject of SIII...true, Hugo's not obviously gay, but methinks there's some duck lovin' goin' on between the lines. (And he certainly wasn't keepin' Lulu around for his personality - the kid was a wanker.) As for Chris' lesbitastic sexual tension with Lucia and Geddoe's happy orgy with the other (mostly male) members of his group...well, I believe they speak for themselves. XD

The one that always comes to my mind is the supremely creepy "You can't escape my love!"

But dude, seriously...between Zoe and Jasmine, Gina Torres = QUEEN BADASS.

Yes! If all we Firefly fans work together, it might end up #1 at the box office on opening weekend! *crosses fingers*

Vinnie and I saw the trailer for Serenity when we went to see 40 year old Virgin and we were all like "YES!!!" and laughing because there were funny parts. We are SUPER excited about it.

If you guys are looking for another Joss Whedon and/or Tim Minear fix (the masterminds behind Firefly) you might want to try some of their other stuff, which IMO is just as good. Joss, of course, does it all (TV! movies! big Hollywood-style musicals with spontaneous human combustion that aren't Carrie!), but his two other great works are, of course, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Now, I'm sure you guys've seen bits and pieces of them, but you should try it the same way you did Firefly - watch a full season, episode by episode - and you may find you appreciate its genius, dammit like it more.

As for Minear, he was behind the critically acclaimed show Wonderfalls. However, it being a Fox show (like Firefly) four episodes were aired, in three different time slots, out of order before it was cancelled for low ratings. (Go figure.) But it's been released on DVD since, so you might want to see if you can get a hold of it. All these should be available from most places that rent TV show seasons - I know the library has Buffy, and I'm ( ... )
