Okay, so I suppose I should explain in a little more detail why my new glasses are going to cost me about as much as a brand new PS3 (No kidding). Well, first of all, they're rimless, which means they don't really have a frame - the side of it which hold it to my face are drilled directly into the lens. Ooooooh, rimless and transitions. :O

I've thought about getting a new pair myself, and I'm curious - When you drive, don't transitions not work when you're in the car? :s Or has there been some fancy-shmancy new development on those?

And yeah, working on the weekends should be illegal, as you said. :[ I hope you're getting paid a ton of overtime, at least. >.< So wrong.

I think the glass in a car blocks out a lot of the UV rays, so there isn't enough that reaches the lens to make them turn dark. At least, that's been my experience with them. :'3

We don't really get overtime per se, and instead we get time in lieu. So I'll be taking this Monday, and next Monday off. Two long weekends in a row whoo! \o/

Yeah, I was told the same... that transitions don't work in the car.

Nope, they don't work. Unless you roll your windows down and hold your glasses out in the sunlight directly for a moment. Which I did once, though they just clear up again after a minute or so anyway. :B

Yeah, seriously. I liked those specs. :'3 But at least now I have those specs version 2.0 to fill the void that was left behind. \:'3/
