Actually, the people behind Rock Band reckon that if you can play the drums on Hard or Expert, you shouldn't have any trouble irl (since it's mainly to do with co-ordination more than anything else).

Ah yes, so I've heard. :3 d Although I think it can actually be potentially more trickier in game than in real life. When you're playing in a band, if you're fast or slow, the other band members all adjust their tempo to compensate accordingly. But in the game, you gotta get the tempo spot on. :P

Actually, it's funny, I just happened to come across this video today about just the topic, too. :D

Apparently, he's played drums before. o_O Still, if he hadn't played that song outside of Rock Band...

Anyway, getting the tempo spot on: that's true. However, in a real band, if you go too fast or slow, you mess up the song. :B Least that's what I always thought anyway.

learning how to play an instrument isnt much different than learning to play a game.
there's awkwardness when you first pick it up, but once you get used to it, all that matters is practice.
you might say, "well, i'll never be good at it." this is true if you were trying to become a rockstar celebrity, but we dont play games to be the best.

that wedding sounded fun, never been to one myself yet.
when you get married james, remember to invite me! haha.

I suppose that's true. The only thing is that playing an instrument is usually a lot more deeper and more intricate than playing a game. Y'know, since most are actually pretty shallow experiences. :B
But you're right. Just about everything starts out awkward and frustrating but becomes easier with a bit of practice. And I suppose you don't exactly need to become an absolute freak on an instrument to be able to enjoy it. :3

Haha, and the same goes for you too - remember to invite me to your wedding as well. :P With the way things are going, there is probably a good chance that you'll have your's first. XP

D: HEY, you'd better invite me to your wedding too! AND you'd better have an open bar, dammit!

(Oh God, I just had a terrible thought-- I hope your wedding wouldn't be when we all meet for the first time. That'd just be too sad to have a -wedding- be the only reason we all meet! Because then, when would the next milestone be? D:D:)

>there is probably a good chance that you'll have your's first. XP
I LOL'D

Haha, relax, I don't foresee a wedding happening for quite some time. I mean, right now I probably have more chance of getting struck by lightning while in a submarine than I do of getting hitched.

But yeah, we so totally have to have a group get together at some point in the near future. :'3

>some of those stilettos they were wearing were smokin'
Hahaa, I didn't know you were a stiletto fetishist! I know Blaze has a stocking fetish though.

>Pity I'm still such an unsociable git. >_>
You should've made a move! And here I thought you were an opportunist. Seriously, most all girls are uncomfortable at weddings, single or not. It's yet another reminder for them, "When is it MY turn?" and such. We're so effin emotionally helpless when it comes to weddings.

>it's just a shame that gaming alone won't actually get you anywhere in the real world.
If you move to Korea, you'll have a larger chance at being a cyber-athlete! I hear they have schools on how to play games or something.

Well, okay, I confess. It's hard to not appreciate a good set of heels. :'3 d
And Blaze likes stockings? Wow, this I did not know. :O

I still fail at picking up ladies. Plus the really hot ones are usually already taken. T_T

They have schools for that in Korea? o_O Wow, sounds like serious business over there. They should to import that kind of mentality to this part of the globe. >:3 d
