Ah, it's always annoying when things don't quite go the way you'd hoped they'd go. I for one was hoping to be sick enough to take a day off on Friday. It would have been so nice to be able to start the long weekend with a day off. But ah well, maybe next year ( Read more... )

I'd have to say there was more smog than fog, in what you saw. But yeah, it has been freezing hasn't it?

Haha, 'sif. If you saw how thick the fog was, you'd know that breathing in smog like that would have you coughing up blood. I mean, it was really thick, man.

I don't like winter/colder weather much at all! Especially when visibility is low; that's always really difficult. :B

And yeah, why are people slow like that? My initial thought is that it's human nature to watch how everyone else is reacting before assessing the situation on our own, so until someone else did something, the rest likely followed. Kind of sad. :B

Heh heh, yah. These are the kind of days where you just want to stay inside and not even go near a window or door.

Yeah, I always think it's kind of pathetic how people tend to follow leaders around like lost sheep.
Sometimes when I'm walking down a street and get to a pedestrian crossing and there's a bunch of people there waiting for the light to change, if there're no cars coming I find amusement in crossing and seeing how many people will follow. Simple things amuse simple minds, I suppose. :P

My favourite bit was:

"What sort of compensation are you prepared to offer?"
"We're having a conversation right now!"
"...compensation."
"Oh! I see."

I thought that was gold given that he was making it up on the spot. XD

People are like lemmings in large crowds. The safest way to preserve your self-interest is to just do what everyone else is doing.

Heh heh, yeah. Somethings I think people are just paranoid that they'll do something that'll get a whole crowd of people to point and laugh at them.
