After a incredibly lengthy application process and much angst ridden waiting, I finally found out the results of my JET programme application

I haven't been around LJ for ages, so sorry for not commenting and what feels like decades now, but so glad I did today. Because YAY JAPAN! I'm so happy for you, that's perfect! :D And this year in July even, that's... really soon when you think about it. Now I'm also really curious about where you are going. I mean, it's going to be Inaka that's about sure, but there's inaka and there's deepest inaka... Good luck for the next results too then! Did you have any wish where you said you would prefer to go? (Sooo coming to visit you when you're there! It's really about time I go to Japan once again, especially after my training in the company's motherhouse in Osaka didn't work out after all.)
*glomps* I'd been wondering where you had been<3 haha it's ok though, I've been pretty much absent from lj as well...my life is too busy and boring or just a combination of both to really have anything to talk about, and I guess I'm a lot more hesitant to post rl stuff now too, after working with students and what not ^y^;
I'm so excited, but yea its like...'shit I really only have 3 months until I leave and I have to finish uni, and quit my job and sort out moving to a whole new country, where do I even begin?'
I won't find out where I'm placed until the end of May ><, though at the point, I'm just really happy that I was accepted. As for location preferences, I put Tokyo first, but I know that that is pretty much unlikely, my second was Ishikawa-ken(mostly because Kanazawa seems like a really nice city^^;) and Sapporo as my third, and that I had a preference for urban areas. Lol I do kind of hope its not deepest darkest inaka, but overall, I'm open minded about where I could end up, it's going to be an experience either way

*glomps back* I have done my best to stop being an internet junckie since I started to work last September, and did a lot of reading etc. I always had such a headache after having stared at a computer screen for all day during work that that actually was a bliss. But now I have started searching for a new job, so I had a lot of private email checking etc. to do, soooo now I'm back at doing stupid online games, doing mindless internet surfing etc. -_- Fortunately I will most likely sign a new contract until the end of this week AND our particularly long and cold winter is now finally taking it's retreat, which means that I should take less time in front of the screen until my new job starts beginning of May. And I would really like to go on holiday for a week before May, totally looking forward to that now (even if I still do not know where to go

I'm very glad I don't have to sit in front of a computer all day, that sounds horrible >< We had a similarly extreme long hot summer(though I think I would prefer your winter, rather than a weeks of 36-40 degree days ;_;) so hot, I'm glad it's over
