oh my goodness guys - it snowed.
Chris and i woke up this morning to find a light layer of powdery snow on the ground. the grass and leaves are still poking through, and it's already melting, but it is snow and it makes me happy. You're kidding me right? No more than 1cm?! London has had 3 BLIZZARDS over the past 2 weeks. We are now up to 2 and a half FEET of snow (that's 75cm for you metric people). And we don't even live that far up North :P

Good news though...rumour has it that this Thursday/Friday we may reach high temperatures of above 0 degrees!

May I remind you of the benefits of snow? Not only are adorable children tobagganning, building snowmen and having snowball fights, but it is almost skiing/snowboarding and skating season. None of which are possible with 1cm of snow. So enjoy your slushy English winter, and I'll enjoy my hardcore Canadian winter!

believe me, i am missing the snow. (i don't ski or snowboard though, so that argument's invalid, haha) however, i'm still in England - which more than makes up for this.

no matter how much further north we are, keep in mind that Britain is an island - regulated quite heavily by all the water around, specifically the warm Gulf Stream. this keeps us temperate. it sucks, but it makes sense.

don't be too hasty on wishing you were back in canada for the snow, burlington and oakville have 0 cm of snow, it was all washed away by the rain today :( like WTFFTW?
