He stood up, and found that the ground had fallen away from him, and he was flying on wings that were so thin he could see right through them. There was a girl, with golden hair and pink wings, flying next to him... and others, further away, their images harder to make out.
Suddenly, there was a man with white hair flying towards him, very quickly. His hair whipped back in the wind, and he seemed to speed along effortlessly. When he got close enough so that he could see the other man's face, something slammed into him from above.
Down, down, down he tumbled. Faster and faster he fell, whipping past sand, snow, jungle, rivers... until he landed with a thud in a castle. The white-haired man landed gracefully next to him, and stared down at him.
"What... why are you... who are you?"
"I am thou. Thou art I. We be the same. We be one."
But that didn't make any sense... he was him, wasn't he? So how could someone else be him, too?
"Thou shall see sometime. Remember, we were thrust upon this firmament for a purpose. Do not forget this."
The blue-haired man stood, looking frustrated. "But I don't remember!"
"Then thou art lost, and the world shall burn." This was said very calmly, but with an air of importance. "I must go." The white-haired man started to fade out.
"But... wait!" The first cried. "You still haven't told me who you are!"
"Thou shall see. As I hath said... we be one." And he faded completely from view.
The man sunk to his knees, pounding at the ground. "Why do I never get any answers?! What was he talking about?!"
There was a hand on his shoulder, and the girl from before smiled gently down at him. "Don't worry. You'll see soon enough. And remember... you're never alone."
Then it all went black.
