a woodchuck is like a cross between a beaver and a rat. i dont think it actually chucks anything, to be honest, but i supposed if forced to it could chuck wood. but what exactly does chuck mean in that phrase, as i think it's a synonym for throwing, and i really dont think woodchucks can throw anything.
