Lissette=poor, but otherwise travel (in theory) sounds great! I should get my damn passport at the very least. Camping, well, why not? You get to hold my hand when a bear or something pops by :). I'd love to learn how to ride a bike. It'd be great exercise. Plus, I'm tired of the incredulous looks I tell people I can't. The look on your face when I told you was priceless!! Skinny dipping......meh, why the hell not? But you're helping with the sunscreen.
Kayaking, I'm not sure about this one. Possibly. I know kayaking is something fings has done and he was mildly puzzled when I said it was one of those things that had never occurred to me to try. What can I say, I'm an big city girl. Um, maybe. If he get it in his mind to go sometime, I suppose I can tag along.
I'll have to pass on the hang gliding, I'm too afraid of heights.
Snow boarding...um, not really interested in any kind of skiing or snowboarding.
Painting a mural, sure, that would be fun!
Hiking the Appalachian trail.....how bout just going hiking, period, which I've never really done on an ambitious scale. The closest I've come to hiking was wandering the grounds around my college campus a few times for like an hour, tops.
I own like, one lamp. I guess learning how to rewire one could come in handy someday. We'll see.
Or I'll take you out to my parents house and we can use their kayaks before they move off LI -- they're looking to move shortly after my dad retires next year, but right now they're within walking distance of both the ocean and a lake with great kayaking potential.
The lamp thing came to mind because I watched my grandfather repair an extension cord, this summer, and it occurred to me that that's the kind of skill that must be really good to know in a particularly bizarre emergency.

How about:
kayaking
hang gliding
snow boarding
painting a mural
hiking the appalachian trail
learn to rewire a lamp
Also, while it's not exactly convenient to you, the Ethiopian restaurant in Montclair is excellent!

Thanks for the suggestions!
