An hearty and robust FUCK YOU to all the assholes who voted against the civil rights of same-sex couples in AZ, CA, and FL. Oh, yes, and you assholes down in Arkansas who just voted against homosexuals fostering/adopting? FUCK YOU. Fucking SHAME on each and every one of you. I wish I could be more articulate than that right now, but I am too ( Read more... )

As the straightest and most vanilla woman in the world I still don't get it. How does what other people do affect me or my marriage exactly? Unless they're hitting on my hubby I could care less WHAT they are doing and WHO they are doing it with. Also, I don't care HOW they are doing it or how MANY people they are doing it with as long as - and this is key - I don't have to HEAR about it. Gay, straight, kinky, poly I don't care, but that shit is PRIVATE and I shouldn't have to know all the gristly details. Sure I'm hung up about sex - but at least I'm hung up about everyone's sex. I'm an equal opportunity ostrich.

LOL, I'm with you, I don't want to know anyone else grisly details, either, haha. But yeah, I do not get it. My BFF and his partner have been together for over 7 years and living together for 6 1/2. Why can't they get married? How will that negatively impact my marriage, of the marriage of straight people anywhere? Ugh. They are considering getting a civil union since they are here in NJ. But it's not enough.
I'm praying that by the time my Kiddo is an adult, s/he'll be as confused as all get out that this was ever the case.

Oh, and yeah, if folks want to get married I don't see how it's anyone else's business as long as they are adults, not married to someone else that didn't consent to the addition of a family member, and not siblings. THERE I draw the line.

I saw a lot of signs saying "Vote Yes on 2: One Man, One Woman" and it really bothered me. It just seemed that it was directed at homosexual couples when in reality, the ammendment also effects domestic partnerships.

There's enough hate in this world, I don't care who you love, just love someone, ya know?

Yes. Well, I'm sure the lawsuits challenging these things will be coming soon.
