I think it's a little simplistic, but I'll admit that's simply because it's a short video. I do take exception to the idea of "Low expectations equals happiness." I think low expectations leads to easy satisfaction, but satisfaction and happiness are two completely different things. I agree that there is such a thing as "too many choices."

I think satisfaction and contentment are underrated. I think this expectation of continuous and near-delirious happiness that abounds in our society is ridiculous and unattainable. I think there's something very interesting about the fact that people in much poorer nations that the US and other Western industrialized nations report higher levels of "happiness". It would seem that people in these places might have different expectations and different views as to what is meaningful. Anyway, this is all very interesting to think about, isn't it :)?
