I have a really hard time communicating with people, and I can't quite figure out why. I think I'm a very intelligent person, and I know a lot of cool stuff, and I love to have interesting conversations with people! The problem is, is that when I talk about things to others, or try to, in real life, I stutter, get off track, forget what I am ( Read more... )

hey, you should give me a call sometimes :)

To be honest, it doesn't matter if you are "Intelligent" or what not. You just do not have the social interaction that you require in life. To be quite honest, you've been sheltered from the outside life and that's not exactly a bad thing, but you aren't given the chance to learn things for yourself and able to express yourself openly. It's not really the parents fault or your fault, it's the normal situation that everyone had to deal with in building social communication.. I myself is working on my social skills and building it from scratch because I'm in the same situation that you are in and i'm gradually learning.

Anyways, i'm jabbering. So, when you return to AL, we'll have hang out together and re-form an anime/gamer club =)

You'd fit right in with me then because I'm quite comfortably use to my friends going off topic, stuttering, becoming distracted, and any other numerous things which would normally annoy other people. I'll just wait for them to say "What was I talking about?" or something along those lines, then list key fragments of their previous sentences and we'll go back to our happy conversation =)

I think there's something terribly wrong with you, but it has nothing to do with your social skills. ;)

Ah, I jest. Don't worry too much if people think you're intelligent or not. It's probably not worth much, but I work with some very outspoken people who can seem a lot more ignorant than anyone who stutters to prove their point.
